This MP OS is updated by playing an SMF file containing SYSEX to the MP via the MP's MIDI or USB connection using appropriate sequencing hardware/software. When updating the MP9500 if the data is not correctly transmitted, there is a risk of damaging the Flash-ROM. In this case the main PCB board must be exchanged at your cost. Not all sequencing hardware/software can transmit SYSEX correctly so we can offer no guarantee. Please read all of the instructions in the included read me file carefully before proceeding with the update.

Please extract the file directly to an 2HD disk that has been formatted using the Z1000. Now insert the disk into your Z1000, hold the Pops button and power on. Loading takes around 1 minute. MAC-Users Please extract the file to the original System Disk that came with the Z1000. Do not format the disk. Just overwrite the original file.
