SHORTER COLLEGE BECOMES NEWEST EPIC PARTNER

	SHORTER COLLEGE With the cumulative acquisition of 52 Kawai and Shigeru Kawai pianos, Shorter College of Rome, GA continues the tradition of providing its students and faculty with exceptional instruments for the study of music. “We have long known that Kawai pianos will endure the rigorous demands of studio use,” says Dr. Alan Wingard, Dean of the School of the Arts at Shorter College. “Because so many of our students go on to successful careers in musical performance after graduation, the instruments in our performance venues have to be of the highest quality. The Elite Performing Instrument Collection (EPIC) is a unique institutional program made possible by the Shigeru Kawai Endowment. Institutions that qualify are given the opportunity to acquire an elite assortment of fine Kawai and Shigeru Kawai instruments at sponsored cost levels. Shorter College joins Reinhardt College, Chapman University and the Conservatoire de Musique du Quebec as the charter members of the EPIC Partnership.
