MP5 - More Info
The MP5 utilizes Kawai’s acclaimed Harmonic Imaging Sound Technology to create its impressive concert grand piano sound. In all, the MP5 has 256 instrument sounds.
The outstanding feel of the MP5 is due to the Advanced Hammer Action IV (AHAIV), an 88-note, graded hammer action.
With a best-in-class 192-note polyphony, the MP5 can handle even the most demanding performances.
The MP5 functions as a 4-zone controller keyboard. Each zone can control an internal or external zone, or both. Internal zones can be assigned to any key range, and many other parameters can be edited. Faders control a zone’s volume in real time.
With 4 real time control knobs you can adjust the keyboard’s EQ, effects and sound parameters, or send MIDI control change commands to external devices.
Reverb & Effects
The MP5 comes with a host of studio quality reverbs and digital effects, from chorus and flanger to distortion and rotary speaker.
Settings and assignments for all four zones can be saved into any one of 256 User Setups for instant recall during a performance
Both the 3 MIDI jacks and USB jack are useful for connecting with other musical instruments and computers. The instrument also has stereo Line Out jacks along with connections for an assignable footswitch and an expression pedal.
Two headphone jacks allow two persons to listen to the piano in privacy.
Included with the instrument is the F10H damper (with half-dampering) pedal . The F20 damper (with half-dampering) and soft pedal assembly is available as an option.
A heavy duty metal rack, which conveniently mounts on top of the instrument, is also included.
Optional Soft Case
The optional soft case is great for pianists on the go. It even has wheels on one end to make travel even easier.
