EP3 - More Info
Unique Speaker System
The EP3 features a surprisingly powerful stereo speaker system with a total of three speakers per side housed in a built-in bass reflex enclosure.
The EP3 utilizes Kawai’s acclaimed Harmonic Imaging Sound Technology to create its impressive piano sound.
The outstanding feel of the EP3 is due to the new Advanced Hammer Action IV-F (AHAIV-F), an 88-note, graded hammer action.
The EP3 has both a Dual Mode in which two sounds are played at the same time and a Split mode in which one sound plays on the left of the keyboard and another sound plays on the right side.
Use the value buttons to control right from the panel the volume balance in a Dual or Split keyboard mode.
Like other Kawai digital pianos, the EP3 has a unique 4-Hands Mode in which two identical 44-note pianos are setup on the keyboard – perfect for piano lessons or for duets.
There are two headphone jacks on the EP3, allowing two persons to listen to the piano in privacy.
Included with the instrument is the F10H damper (with half-dampering) pedal .
The EP3 offers a handy built-in digital metronome with a variety of time signatures, perfect for practice. You can control the tempo and the volume of the metronome.
The metronome also has 30 built-in drum rhythms in a variety of musical styles. Tempo and volume of the drum beats can also be controlled.
The EP3 offers an easy to use, built-in 2-Track / 3-Song Recorder.
Both the 3 MIDI jacks and USB jack are useful for connecting with other musical instruments and computers. There is also a unique stereo Line In plus Line Out jacks to connect to a sound system or recording device.
