MONTEVERDE MAKES IT A “BAKER’S DOZEN”
Prestigious Prep School Adds to Its Kawai Lab
Rancho Dominguez, CA • November, 2010 – Monteverde Academy, the prestigious college prep school located in Central Florida,
recently added seven more Kawai digital pianos to their existing Kawai digital piano lab system. The new addition brings the total number of digitals in the lab up to thirteen.
The additional instruments will allow more students to practice during class as well and lunch breaks, study hall and after school. Most students actually prefer the digital pianos to a “real” one because they can record themselves, change to over 30 different instrument sounds, and add rhythms and special effects. “The additional keyboards have been such a boon to the fine arts program,” states Mr. Connelly of Monteverde’s Fine Arts department. “As the lab grows, more and more students get a chance to experience making music for themselves.”
Founded in 1912, the Monteverde Academy is a college preparatory school attracting students from all around the world. In addition to offering a challenging academic environment, the academy offers students the opportunity to develop their talents through involvement in fine arts, athletics, clubs and service organizations.
